CAS Access Analytics

This report cultivates information ingested into and parsed by Sumo Analytics for authentication tickets created by CAS. Using the timestamp, userid, and the name of the application by which there was a successful CAS authentication ticket created from Sumo, the data is joined to various schemas within Banner to determine classifications of the person authenticating within CAS (example: Student, Student Work, Faculty, Administration, ect...). Additionally, Epochs of time have been associated with various date ranges so that periods of times coordinating with events can be compared to one another (example: Pre-Spring Break 2020 / Post Lockout Period). Reports have been produced atop this data showing distinct user counts of the various applications accessed across periods of time, as well as comparisons of average access counts during days of the weeks across weeks of the year across hours of the day. Trends and distributions are illustrated across the various epochs and can be filtered by different applications.
